Course
The event center of Lappeenranta Half is located at Lappeenranta Harbor Square (Satamatori).
Showers and changing rooms are available at Kimpinen Sports Center. After the race, runners can also refresh themselves at Myllysaari Beach, located along the course, with the gentle waters of Lake Saimaa.
Updated Course
The course has been updated to make it faster and smoother. Roads such as Ainonkatu, Kipparinkatu, and Satamatie are included in the route, while the Luhtakatu–Kantokatu loop has been removed and the Pikisaari section extended. This means fewer turns and more speed.
The course is very flat and follows the waterfront of Lappeenranta harbor, offering a scenic running experience in an event organized by two sports clubs with over 100 years of history.
Half Marathon
The half marathon consists of three laps, following the route:
Satamatori – Pikisaari – Satamatori – Myllysaari – Satamatori.
Each lap is approximately 7 km long with about 12 meters of elevation gain per lap.
Near Myllysaari the course turns from Ainonkatu toward the padel court parking area, loops around it, and then continues back toward Satamatori and onward to Pikisaari. On Pikisaari runners complete an asphalt loop counterclockwise before turning back toward the harbor.
10 km
The 10 km race covers approximately one and a half laps of the main course.
The shorter second lap is clearly marked for 10 km runners.
Aid Stations
Aid stations and toilets are located close to Satamatori.
