Registration for the groups opens on Wednesday, August 12 at 12:00 noon.
Liiku Leikkien Groups
Kirput: Group for children aged 4–5 (born in 2021–2022)
Kiitäjät: Group for preschool-aged children, i.e. 6-year-olds (born in 2020). The group is also open to children born in 2021.
The purpose of the Liiku Leikkien group is to introduce children to a wide variety of physical activities, support their natural motor development in a safe environment together with children of the same age, and provide joyful experiences through movement.
In the Liiku Leikkien group, children practise and develop their basic movement skills, which will help prepare them for starting school and provide a good foundation for other hobbies and sports. Within the gym environment, the groups also practise some of the easiest track and field activities.
Each session lasts 45 minutes. Sessions are held once a week.
Location: Lyseo Upper Secondary School gym

Track & Field School Groups for Children Born in 2019–2020
The Track & Field School is based on versatile, appropriately challenging and enjoyable physical activity. During the sessions, children practise basic movement skills such as running, jumping, throwing and body control, as well as track and field-specific skills. Of course, there is also plenty of fun and games!
Each session lasts 60 minutes.
Location: Lappeenranta Sports Hall
Autumn term: Sessions during weeks 37–50. There are no sessions during the autumn holiday week.
