Inappropriate Behaviour and How to Address It

What to Do If You Witness Inappropriate Behaviour

If you witness harassment, bullying, discrimination, threats or any other form of inappropriate behaviour within our club, please do not deal with the situation alone.

1. Speak Up

Inappropriate behaviour that occurs within the club is primarily addressed through the club itself.

You can report what happened directly to the club’s safeguarding contact person, whose contact details are provided below, or submit a report.

2. Submit a Report

You can report the incident using the reporting form on the club’s website.

  • You can submit a report anonymously.

  • If you would like us to contact you, please include your contact details.

  • Describe as clearly as possible what happened, where it happened and when.

YOU CAN FIND THE REPORTING FORM BELOW.

3. If the Matter Is Serious

Not all situations can be handled within the club alone.

  • The police or child protection services should be contacted if a crime is suspected or a child’s safety is at risk.

  • SUEK (the Finnish Center for Integrity in Sports) should be contacted in cases involving doping or competition manipulation, for example.

  • The Finnish sports community’s reporting channel can be used to report unethical conduct, harassment and other matters covered by the channel.

4. What Happens After a Report Is Submitted?

Reports are handled appropriately and confidentially.

The situation will be investigated, and decisions will be made about any necessary follow-up actions. If necessary, the matter may be referred to the club’s disciplinary procedure or to another competent authority.
